Joy was a real miss character plus and was the light of my life that enjoyed her retirement and slept on my bed! Her blueroan & tan colouring was very rich and my personal favourite of all the colours! Joy was such a special girl she won hearts where ever she went and was a true gundog! Her retrieving and questing ability never ceased to amaze me. Although she was not a show dog (being such a "tomboy" she knocked a front tooth out at about 18 months old ruining any chance of a show career), of all my dogs she had the most natural gundog ability. There is only one thing that Joy loved more than her ball, and that is her babies, as she was a very devoted mother, even though her babies are precious and few.
After three years of trying and not daring to hope for, what I thought was impossible happened.

on the 27th of October 2007 Joy presented me with two very precious babies, a lovely blue roan boy and a beautiful blue roan and tan girl "Dianna" just like my precious Joy.
